Gas work is not the place for a handyman. It takes the right license, the right tools, and the kind of care that assumes every joint matters — because it does. We install, repair, and pressure-test natural gas and propane lines for everything from a new range to a whole-home generator.

What we handle

  • New gas line runs for ranges, ovens, and cooktops
  • Gas dryer hookups
  • Tankless water heater gas supply upgrades
  • Gas fireplaces and log sets
  • Outdoor grills with dedicated gas drops
  • Whole-home standby generators
  • Pool and spa heaters
  • Firepits and patio heaters
  • Gas leak detection and repair
  • Capping off abandoned lines during remodels

Signs you need gas line service

  • You smell gas — faint or strong, anywhere in the house or near the meter
  • A hissing sound near a gas appliance or line
  • Dead or yellowing plants near a buried gas line
  • A gas appliance that won't stay lit or is burning yellow instead of blue
  • Your gas bill jumped with no explanation
  • You're adding an appliance the current line wasn't sized for
  • The gas company red-tagged something during a service call

How we do it

  1. If you smell gas, we tell you the same thing first: get out, call the gas company, then call us. Safety before scheduling
  2. Size the line correctly. A 3/4" branch feeding a tankless plus a range plus a dryer is a recipe for starvation. We run the math on BTU load and pipe length
  3. Use the right material for the run — black iron, CSST, or polyethylene underground — installed to code with proper supports and bonding
  4. Pressure test every new line with air before gas is introduced. Document the test
  5. Coordinate with the gas company and the inspector when a permit is required, so the line is legal and on record

Residential, commercial, or new construction

All three. Residential gas work is a lot of appliance additions and generator installs. Commercial gas is larger — restaurants with commercial cooking equipment, rooftop units, and dedicated meters. On new construction we rough in the whole gas distribution from the meter to every stub during frame-up, then come back for appliance hookups at trim.

Why call Prestige

Gas is one of those jobs where you want somebody who is going to do it exactly right, document it, and not cut a corner to save thirty minutes. We are licensed and insured in Arkansas, we pull permits when they're required, and we don't leave a job until the line holds pressure. Call for a free estimate.
